As a feature necessary for their sales center, Strategic Capital was in search of a wayfinding and context model for their newly designed residential tower. Greenwich West is located in the West Soho neighborhood. One of the benefits to being here is proximity to local fare, as well as views of the Hudson River. With the amount of construction in the area, as well as competition, Strategic Partners wanted to have a physical representation of what made their location stand out.
Dynamo Playground’s Quad Pod is an innovative climbable spinner, but the special features of the design are difficult to describe in 2D renderings. LGM was tasked to bring the design to life by engineering a scaled version of the climber for their trade show events. When the model was not in use, it would be stowed in a rigid case for safe transport and storage.
The relationship between architecture and topography on this bay-facing residence was incredibly important. Beyond the complex grade changes, the client wanted to better visualize the ratio of glazing to exterior walls with a physical 3D representation of the residential property.
