Public Outdoor Feature Wall
GENERATIVE WALL MURAL DESIGN
By integrating the generative design plans of LaN Architecture, LGM 3D directed the production of over 300 individually CNC cut pieces of the feature wall design. The numbered wall slices were then vertically stacked to mimic the horizontal passage way of a mine, celebrating local history.
LGM was able to quickly and efficiently produce the CNC wall panels from a provided Rhino 3d file by incorporating 2D DXF slicing and a numerical system. Upon completion of the CNC machining, this system allowed for intuitive assembly, reducing overall construction time for this interpretive display.
