MIG COM needed to explore the Lone Tree Redevelopment plan beyond their initial 2D renderings. Due to the expansive area of interest, they decided to create a unique representation of the RidgeGate Community by introducing a study model into their work flow. The model needed to communicate the planned development district, and clearly show the relationship between commercial buildings and topography.
Aqua Strategies came to LGM for a Water Planning model of Millers Creek Reservoir. The main goal was to assist in client communication, so the map needed to be colorized. There is an existing dam structure on site that needed to be considered for any future planning, so accuracy was important.
Kim Thoman’s artwork spans both two dimensional and three dimensional spaces. Her artwork features colorized 3D sculptures that are texture mapped with computer generated images of her artwork. Color consistency was a key part of the workflow as texture mapped sculptures and paintings are displayed together.
With such an expansive and complex development plan in place, Post Brothers wanted a way to visualize the site’s height, depth, and common core areas. The commercial and residential development needed to fit within the confines of their existing sales center. A context model with surrounding buildings would be an excellent way to validate Piazza Terminals extensive design.
Harris Doyle Homes wanted to promote their new residential offering, The Nest Community at Woodward Oaks. This community’s master plan was based on a circular format, and a model was a way of engaging prospective clients and explaining location in the community.
