Museum Exhibit 3D Model
Denver Art Museum Revitilization
“The Denver Art Museum, Fentress Architects, and Machado Silvetti partnered with LGM to visualize their proposed design for the North Building. This model was meant to showcase the new design, and also pay homage to the existing architecture as a part of the “”Then, Now, Next”” exhibition. With the exhibit fast approaching, the final model needed to be delivered in 6 weeks.”
By combining the speed of 3d printing with traditional architectural model building methods, LGM was able to create this impressive model and deliver within the 6 week timeframe. As the final touch, Fentress’s team configured the final display case and custom pine base. The model features four types of 3D printed methodologies, custom LED lighting, and micro versions of the actual art work surrounding Denver Art Museum.
“The model turned out great and was well received. Your team did a terrific job given a relatively short time frame to plan and execute the work.” – Brian Chaffee | Principal, Fentress Architects
“Thanks for your efforts. The model looks great! I really enjoyed working with you all. This was one the smoothest model experiences I had without any big problems and you got it to light up.” – Charles Fentress | Designer, Fentress Architects
